I marked up three separate positions on multiple walls for inserting tacks, I successfully inserted all three with the plunger of the gun fully pressed, the tacks were flush to the wall so everything told me it had worked and was safe to attach one of the supplied picture hangers and hang my framed art (weighing less than 8kg). I successfully hung one of my framed pieces and that was enough to convince me to proceed with the remaining two locations. It wasn't until I attempted to hang the second piece that I realised the tacks were not secure, the moment I put any weight on the second tack it pulled from the wall along with a chunk of the plasterboard, if I wasn't already holding the framed art it would have smashed on the floor, this frame is well below the 8kg weight limit so the tack should have supported it. In fact I realised the third tack could easily be pulled out of the wall using my finger tips! I tested the Takker on the same wall repeatedly to make sure I hadn't just been in an unlucky spot and every time the tacks would not securely stay in the wall even though the plunger was fully pressed down and the tacks sat flush to the wall surface. I decided to check the first piece I successfully hung was sitting on a secure tack and sure enough that tack was easily pulled out the wall with minimal effort using just my fingertips, so I was very lucky that frame had even stayed on the wall. The only explanation I received for this failure was that sometimes plasterboard walls are different and do not hold the tacks properly, so buyer beware of this because that note isn't mentioned anywhere on the site or product specs. Test all your tacks cannot be easily pulled out BEFORE you hang anything on them.

I was a bit skeptical about this bit of kit to be honest but thought I’d give it a try.
It’s so easy to use and it really does what it says on the tin. It really does save all that fuss and bother with the electric drill. Makes a very neat and tidy hole no mess to clear up either.. Top of the class, give the pencils out. PS I didn’t use any of the brass hooks (supplied) as i thought not necessary in this case.

Overall an easy to use and secure system. I got a new drill bit and am flying again, but I think the new pegs [upper one in photo] are not great - they are shorter [<1mm shorter] and different material to the old ones. They tend to fall out of my Takker handle, which the old ones didn't.

This has transformed my house. Was used to a barn conversion with brick walls and knew how to hang things (drills etc). Now in a new built with plaster bard wall - was very nervous of hanging things and had pretty much bare walls for almost 3 years until I discovered the Takker. Now cherished albums are on the wall and even a mirror in the hall way- so thanks alot

Moved into a new house -was advised the walls were hollow and I would need to use special grippers for hanging anything. Tried drilling tried various things - just made a mess of the walls. Eventually tried takers although I was a little nervous didn’t think they would work. But they did! Thank goodness for them.

I had a large 2 foot diameter clock weighing 5 kgs and it turned out to be so easy to use the Takker to hang it! Success very pleased with myself and the Takker

Have only just used it inside a cupboard to attach a hook just in case it didn’t work well and I have to say it was brilliant. Now buying frames for all my favourite prints and pics.

After much deliberation I asked my grandson to use the Takker and show me exactly how it works. I couldn’t believe how easy it was and now I have my picture up on the wall of my newly decorated lounge. I feel confident that I can now finish putting up all my other photos and pictures 👍

I absolutely love my Takker. It’s so easy to use and now have been able to put up my family’s photos and canvases without marking the walls. What a great invention!

Excellent little tool accept when a pin gets jammed.

I was sceptical as to how it would work on my brick wall but I was suitably surprised to find it was easy to use and exceptionally accurate and neat!
Much easier than drilling holes in the wall with my heavy duty drill!
Would recommend this product to anyone looking to find an easy solution to hanging pictures etc…

I’ve always had rows with my hubby when it comes to putting up pictures! He’s drilled so many holes in walls all over the house that it looked like Swiss cheese! Not now as I can do the necessary deed my self so easily no mess and above all with no screaming or tantrums about my pictures not hanging right. It’s a doddle thank you for this amazing piece of kit! Great price, it works!

I have solid walls and I’m always afraid to try to hang pictures. When the Takker first arrived I wondered how this small device would help. I tried it straight away and was amazed at how easy it was to drill a hole in my solid wall. Have hung a fairly heavy painting with ease. Great little gadget!

It worked for 2 pops then the pins got tangled and broke off inside the holder,had to undo the screws on takker to remove 2 of the stuck pins which was quite awkward to do,felt a bit let down for price I paid,the machine felt flimsy.
